Etiquette when riding in a group
- Dont get too close to the rider in front of you
- Point/Call out potholes or any other obstructions in the road
- Dont brake sharply. Call out if the group is either "Stopping" or "Slowing"
- Listen out for instructions from the group leader and pass those messages back
- Shout out if somebody is falling off the back of the group
- Always wear a helmet
- Make sure you carry spare inner tubes and tools
- Always follow the highway code at all times.
Common Commands
- "Stopping - Means the group is coming to a stop
- "Clear" - Usually used at a junction to let those behind you know that they can procede
- "Car Back" - Means a car is coming from behind
- "Car Up/Down" - Means a car is coming towards the group
- "Single Up" - the group should move into single file to enable traffic to pass.
- "Ease Up" - Tells the group to slow down
