Common Questions

  • How much of the money that I raise will go towards the Charity's projects and how much goes on Admin?

This is a typical question that we get asked. Clearly the Cycle event in itself costs money to host and about half of the money you raise is used to go on

Rail/Ferry Tickets

Fuel for the support veichles

Hotel Accomadation

Food and Drink

Bike Spares/Emergency Equipment

Shirts/Promotional material

Much of the work that The James Whale Fund drives and delivers is funded by volunteer's efforts and The Fund runs a very minimal full-time team, much less than other charities with only 3 Full/Part-Time members of staff.  Clearly there are the usual overheads you would expect from any charitable organisation.

As you can see from the chart below The James Whale Fund is dedicated to ensuring that the money it receives is used for the benefit of the patient and raising awareness.
